Report totals problem

I'm having troubles with a sum on a report footer. Database and picture attached. Tables where imported from dbaseIV. Thanks for any help. Yes I have search for a solution.

Tried wizar, will not work. The first group footer has a control based on a query and I'm trying to sum this on the second group footer. thanks
 
right had a quick look at one of my d/b
get into your report footer then type
=sum([fieldname]) should work

-do it on the fieldname of the report

=Sum([xxxx])

If I sum([fieldname]), since its based on a query, it sums the total of the query instead of just adding the two fields I show in my picture. Give it a try.

cannot download - your zip (Firewall my end )
if you want it to add two field then - fieldname1+ fieldname2
fieldx=fn1 +fn2
should work
 
Thanks agian, tried that too, to no avail. You need to open the database to really see how it works.
 
Any More Ideas

I'm still trying to accomplish this task. Tried loops and different queries. No luck yet.
