If you post a question and you never receive a response, does that mean:

(A) The answer is unknown

(B) The person asking the question is banned from the forum unknowlingly.

(C) The question was too dumb to be answered?

Just was wondering.

Examples:

A - I need to do something that my users want but the functionality isn't there and the media can't be stretched to make it possible. HELP!

or

It's just not known or hasn't been seen by someone who knows. Maybe someone knows but doesn't visit as regularly as those who don't know.

B - They might be on ignore by other users but if they are banned they can't post.

C - You'll be told if the question was dumb ;)

To get no answer all you need to do is KEEP YOUR CAPS LOCK ON FOR INSTANCE.

Or be to much "I AM IN A HURRY please answer within the minute"

No such thing as a dumb answer.... Some ppl might search a little harder before posting but OK, they might just not have the time at the moment.

Or the question is a real hard one... Like mine, i have been struggling with that a while and been unable to get it working (to my satisfaction) but .... no answer yet :(

Regards

No such thing as a dumb question

Problem may be that nobody knows the answer.

When and if I manage to stump the people on this forum I think I would post a reply and ask for thoughts or ideas.

Some expansion of the problem/situation probably needed as well opening up the opportunities for comments

if the question is too detailed/requires a whole load of in depth understanding of another persons DB, i can understand that most people would rather NOT delve into it.

or no on eknows the answer.

or cos you sound like a tit.

or if it's too difficult (i, and a lot of people on here are probably beginners, and so i probably can't help most people)

if people are in a rush

if it's so simple it's clear that you haven't even done the obvious and/or looked in help etc

if it's been covered a million times
