Restore database window

My "secured" databases have an annoying quirk. All of my secured db's are opening with the database window (container holding all of the db objects) shrunken as small as possible. This only happens when I open the db with the secured "user" logon. Then when I open the db with my programmer logon, the db window is shrunken (not minimized). You can get the same effect by clicking and dragging the bottom right corner into the upper left corner to make the db window as small as possible. I do not have any minimizing or maximizing commands firing off.

How can I force the db window (not the Access program window) to open at a certain size (twips)?

Thanks in advance for you help!

I don't have an answer to your question right now. But I'd like to suggest a workaround for you.

Why don't just hide the database window if general users log in and unhide it when you log in. So you don't have to resize it back and forth.

Do you still remember the StartupShowDBWindow Property, don't you? Or check it out again in Help with StartupShowDBWindow Property keyword.

Actually I am hiding the secured db on Startup and using this to unhide it when I the "programmer" logs in...

DoCmd.SelectObject acForm, , True

This has been going on for a long time with my secured Access 97 db's but I never asked for any help until now on how to relsove the "sizing" issue.

Thanks!
