Retrieve Windows Network Password

Hello,

I know there are ways to retrieve a user's network Id and pc name, but I am unable to find code that would retrieve the network password.

I would like to have users use the same password they use when logging into the network so they do not have to maintain another password. I would have them enter their network Id and password into a login screen and then compare those values against the retrieved Id and password.

If there is a better way to go about this, please let me know.

I am creating a simple access application that will automate manual tasks done in Excel (import Excel file and present data for reporting and editing). There are only five users.

Unless you are going to link this to Active Directory i cant see how you can use their network password.

suggest using access security
