Rogue Line

I am designing a report and somehow in the process a short horizontal line has appeared - a line which I did not insert.

The line appears on the print preview and also on the hard copy printout.

I want to get rid of this line but it does not appear in the design view and so I can't delete it from there.

Maybe I'm a bit thick but it must have a source but as it's not on the design view I can't click on it for source property (although if I could do that I could delete it then and there.)

Any suggestions as to deleting the thing would be much appreciated.

Perhaps the line is aligned with the grid lines in design view making it very hard to locate, try turning the Grid off, via the view menu with the report in design view. This may make the line easier to locate.

Also, depending on version you can select the line in the properties window or the dropdown in the toolbar, which will select it wherever it is.

if its a line, its probably called line1, or something similar.

look for a control you dont recognise in the controls drop down
