Running 97 Back-End with one 97 front end and a 2000 front end (1 Viewer)

I am considering developing a database which will be running both 97 & 2000 across multiple sites. One site is running 2000 while all other sites are running 97.

Base data will be held on central server with sites having access to only the front end of the version they are running.

Is anyone currently running with multiple versions and has anyone encountered any problems running multiple versions.

I just dont want to waste my time developing a new database if it will not be stable.

I run a 97 BE with 97, 2k and XP FE without any problems. Just make sure that the BE is in the 97 format otherwise your 97 comps won't be able to read it.
