Hello,

I have an Access application which was written on Access 2.0. I need to run it (as is). I saw that it was possible to run it using some kind of Access 2.0 runtime environment - my client uses the following command to run the application:

Msarn200.exe application.mdb /ini application.ini

Where can I get this MSARN200? Do I have to find the Access 2.0 installation itself?

This comes from an application developer's kit (ADK) for Microsoft Access 2.0 and it isn't a standard part of an Access 2.0 install. You might have to search the net for an Access 2.0 developer's kit, though I wouldn't hold my breath. We are up to AC2K3, which is like AC 12.0 or something similar. Many many versions later.

Yes, I have the 2003 version as well =) But now we are moving a customer from Access 2.0 to Access 2000, so we need Access 2.0 to to see how it should work.

Yesterday we've solved the problem after performing exhaustive search in our storehouse! You'd better envy me, because yesterday I found myself installing... ACCESS 2.0... ON laptop with 64Mb RAM and Windows 98... (here comes the main point)... FROM FDD!!! =))))

Access 95 or 97 can convert the Access 2 db to the Access 95 or 97 file format. Then you can use Access 2000 to convert the Access 95 or 97 db to the Access 2000 file format. I do not think [not sure] that Access 2000 can convert the Access 2 db to directly to the Access 2000 file format.

Yes, it can. As always, there were some issues with compilation etc., but not something serious.

Thank you all!
