Running Sum

Been pulling my hair out on this one.

I have a continuous form based on the results of a query. Among the fields are "debit" & "credit" there is another field called "balance" which is not bound to the query. I need the field "balance" to be populated with a running sum like you can do with reports eg:

debit credit balance
000.00 133.84 133.84
143.33 000.00 -9.49
000.00 100.00 90.51

I've searched the internet and can find solutions that don't work. Any help would be really appreciated.

What Spaces you are talking about

it seemed not to work without spaces before the "&'s" but having just checked it you're right - there are no spaces.
