I have used Access from version 1.1. That's both good and bad
Bad is that I constantly hit problems caused by the transition from one version of Access to another. The good side is that I have a wider perspective than many.

My biggest Table was 25,000,000 records.
My fanciest system involved

1. Importing text data
2. Massaging it within Access
3. Exporting to text again
4. Triggering a FORTRAN program (EXE) to solve equations
5. Loading the solutions back into the Access database.
6. More massaging
7. Update data in an XL file
