Saving Filtered Query

Okay, I have a dumb question but I can't seem to get this to work and I can't seem to find an answer here.
I have a query that I have filtered and now I want to save that filtered query as its own query. I do a save as and call it a new query but then, when I open up that new query, the filter has not been applied. Any suggestions on how to do this??

When viewing the results of your filter. Select Records->Filter->Advanced Filter/Sort.

In that window make sure View->Toolbars->Filter/Sort is selected.

Then click on the Save as Query button (looks like a floppy disk with a funnel on it) and enter a query name.
