Saving pictures in Access database (1 Viewer)

OK I used to have this Casio digital camera that saved files in the .cam format, and the files would end up being around 26KB.
These files were great for snapshots 26K per item, the database didn't explode too terribly.
I bought a new Olympus camera, and it saves in .jpg format. When I reduce the size and save a jpeg file down to 26K the photo ends up being too grainy. Any suggestions?

Not really sure about this, but I think the graphics program u use to reduce the image has a lot to do with the quality of the reduced picture.

What program are u using?

How high is the resolution of the original?

I find that if you reduce size from a high quality original you get better results than if if you just try to use a lower resolution original.
