I know very little about writing code, so please be gentle.
Here is my situation:
I have several machines that can only run on certain days of the week and for only a specified time on those days.
The job calls for a 27 hour run on Machine1 and 15 hrs on Machine2
Machine1 only runs on Mon, Wed and Fri for 8 hrs per day.
Machine2 only runs on Tues, Thurs and Sat; 10hrs on Tues and Thurs and 8hrs on Sat.
Problem #1: StartDate, I can only start the job on an open day for the equipment. ex. Job is OK to run Tues for Machine1, I can't start until Wed.
Problem #2: EndDate, if it takes 3.375 days (27/8) to run on Machine1, then the run days should be Wed, Fri, Mon and Wed.
I created a table for the Machines that has a Checkbox for each day of the week to indicate if it can run on that day and a field for Max Number of Hrs per day for that machine.
I looked for a long time for dates, weekdays, weekends, etc. threads, but nothing seemed to solve any part of this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
