Many thanks the Doc the Man, lagbolt and others that have pointed a direction for this project. What started out to be a quick "knock up" has seemingly turned into a bit of a mammoth task. Still I have attempted to look at the entities I wish to model and have to break down everthing as far as possible. I have written down some formalised goals as to what is now required form the database, which I believe will be accomplished with the data enterties and attribute I have selected.
However, I am still unsure if I have used the entities correctly or put them to the best possible use. I'm not sure whether some entities may just be attributes, but this is just a first stab. I have have not labeled relationships, although I have tried to design with these in mind. Things get a little complex toward the end and I may have not taken into account joining tables.
Still let me know what you think.
The school structure is outlined in my first post here
The attachements contain PDF's of my thoughts thus far
