I'm having a problem with scrolling on a continuous form. With my header and footer, I end up being able to fit 13 records on the screen before its necessary to scroll. When beginning data entry on the 14th record, instead of scrolling just the 1st record off the top, all 13 records scroll off the top. I can see them again if I reposition the scroll bar on the side, but when I go to enter the 15th record, all 14 above scroll off.

Shouldn't the scrolling mechanism just scroll one away each time instead of all of them? How can I get this to work "right"?

Also, I'm surprised that the scroll bar height runs the entire height of the window (including the header and footer). Shouldn't the scroll bar height just be as high as the scrollable (middle) part of the continuous form?

Thanks in advance for your input !

Use a recordsetclone to move backwards as many records as you want and set a bookmark - to display that many records on the screen (your screen will on hold so many records). Set your form bookmark to that (recordsetclone) bookmark. Then move the recordsetclone to the last record, or whichever record you want, and set a new (recordsetclone) bookmark and set your form bookmark to that recordsetclone bookmark - this is to setfocus on the record you want.

Don't ask me for the code for this, I don't have it, but I did it on a job a couple years ago.

Thank you for your reply - I'll pursue this although I must admit this is a bit over my head.

Is this really the way Access intended continuous forms to scroll? Scrolling everything off - after each new entry seems so awkward. None of the other M/S products behave this way.

If anyone can provide more insight on the previous response or offer another avenue, I'd be ever so grateful !

Thanks.
