Hi,
I have created a search page within FrontPage, it consists of a dropdown box to allow the user to select a category (this dropdown is pulling from a table in the database). Then I also have text field, to allow the user to further filter thier results.

This all works fine, but what I would like to do now is. Give the users the option to search 'all' categories. Right now, they have to select something from the dropdown list. But if they dont' know what category to search, they have to do them all.

Is there a way to search all the categories?

I think you will get a lot faster response by posting this in the MS Access queries area. But basically you hae to tell it to search the selected catagory (which is what you've done), but then you have to show all records if field is Null (""). And that makes it a query question as this statement will be put into your query criteria field.
