Searching Anything on Database

Is it possible to search anything you put in a database. I want my users to enter any text or numbers to bring a range of results

If they wish to find a person called steven then they can type Ste% - a percentage to shorten the search.

So i would like my users to search for example Steve in all records not just one.

Do i have to use a macro or something.

Not quite

I dont want my users to mess around with drop down lists, it has to be a text box called Search database. As soon as you click on that control you enter anything you like and it will be found throughout the database record.

all your users need to do is click the binocluar icon - then they can search for most stuff themselves
