Hi All! Seems I have trouble at every turn. I've been to multiple posts, as well as other forums to solve this issue to no avail. As an experiment, I've tried creating a blank report in design view, using default measurements. I've actually put the narrative in the screenshots I've included. Those are the only objects on the page. I've tried the "Remove extra report space" in the error notification area at the top left, and that just reduced the size to something like 5.5" x 7". I've included the rulers in the shots.

This isn't making any sense to me!

What are the left and right margins? Various printers have various limits on the minimum margins.

Left: 0.375", Right: 0.291". I'm not sure if it's relevant, but this computer isn't connected to a printer.

Regardless of having an attached printer, Access requires SOMETHING to guide it when building a report that at least potentially will be printed. Therefore it wants to consult the "default printer" or a selected printer for its requirements and abilities. If you are using a PDF conversion facility, and that is your currently selected printer, then you are bound what what the pseudo-printer would allow just like a physical printer would have its own requirements. Actually, though I suppose this might be different by now, it used to be that if you had no printer, you could not bring up a page in Print Preview mode.

Here is an old article from someone with a similar problem.

See if something in here helps you.

You section width is close to 8.5 inches plus your margins add up to 0.666. This isn’t possible to print on an 8 1/2x11 sheet in portrait.

Hi All! Seems I have trouble at every turn.
I strongly encourage you to read something about MS Access programming, thus giving you some understanding about forms, reports and other objects of ms access, instead of trial and error or call a friend.

Respectfully, I am the friend that was called. I've built out the back end so all appropriate data is being returned. I am having trouble understanding the front end, and how to get it to display and print properly.

Just as a test... if you go into form design view and attempt to grab & drag the right margin to the left (thereby narrowing the section), it will not let you drag farther to the left than the right border of the control farthest to the right on the page. I used to have all sorts of fits with invisible controls (because they were dynamically enabled at run time) because they were still statically assigned. I later learned how to fix that problem in other ways. Note that in Form View, you CAN drag the right edge to the left, passing the rightmost control's right edge - but then you would truncate that edge and cause horizontal scroll bars to show up, with part or all of the over-the-edge control no longer visible.
