I have set up a report in Access, and I'm happy with it. However, when I look at it in print preview, I get the message that the section width is greater than the page width, and that some pages will be blank. It is obvious that the Detail Section is the issue, but I can't figure out how to reduce the section width. The detail section only contains a few text boxes that are well within the margins of the other sections.

How do I adjust the section width so there won't be any blank pages?

The report width is 8.3333"

I don't know how to take a screen shot.

If you're on windows seven.

Click on Start. Type Snippet. Open the Snippet Tool.

Click and drag the area that you want to create into an image and save it.

If not on windows 7. Lookat your keyboard and press the button that says "Prt" or "PrtScn" or something along those lines.

Then open paint and press Ctrl + V

you should be able to make the report narrower by dragging the right edge towards the centre.

alternatively in page setup, you can make the left and right margins narrower.

The error is saying that your page is say 23cms wide, but your printable area is only 22cms wide, so the extra 1cm goes on a new page - even though there is nothing on it.

you either need to reduce the page width, or make the printable area wider.

the paper size may be an issue - A4, and letter are slightly different in width and height, and they are not quite interchangeable. letter is slightly wider, A4 is slightly taller.
