How can we secure the tables and queries.
is there any way to secure the tables and queries.
by making mde file we can only secure the forms and reports and modules but not the queries and tables.
is there any way to secure the tables and queries.

I use my way to secure a "mdb". Look at "Demo1.mdb"
(access97). Tehre is no was for user to see the tables or queries or Database window. Only who knows the password
or expert for Access can enter in the Database window.

They might not be able to see the db objects unless they use one of the many utilities floating around to re-enable the Shift key but anybody can link to your database and/or import all of the db objects in your db into their own db. You get what you pay for with that method but it will keep the novices out. But maybe that is all that you need (today ;-).

Yes, you are right, but it's only for users, not for experts.

The security FAQ link that Pat posted is for Access 2000 I think. Can I use this document to help set up security and permissions for an Access 2003 database as well? I'm unable to find a similar document for Access 2003. I'm assuming the same principles and information can be used towards 2003, but just not sure if there is anything additional to 2003 not included in the Security FAQ document. Thanks.
 
Thanks, I briefly skimmed it and missed that part. I'll check it out in full detail now.
