Hello

When I open my Access database, I immediately get this security warning (please see screenshot).

What does that mean, please?

Thank you.

or, also in trust centre, make the database (OR THE FOLDER) a trusted database/location

I don't understand.

I generally create a folder called c:\someapp in which to put an app. Clearly this folder is not "trusted" so you get error warnings.

On my own machine, I just set macro security to low, but in a client's machine, I would set c:\someapp as a trusted location.

that is the location of the program.

with trusted locations we are talking about the folder in which you put your databases. There will be a default location somewhere in the tools/options, but if you have a lot you are unlikely to keep them all in one folder, any more than you would keep any other documents in a single folder.

As I say, I am happy to set my own macro security to low, because I know what I will put on my machine - but I don't want to make that decision for someone else.

I have made the folder 'trusted' now, thanks, and the security warning has disappeared.

Thanks again to you both!
