I am trying to use a magnetic card swipe reader to log staff coming in and out of the building but I am stumped on one thing,( which i know I have seen on these forums but can't find) how do I selct only certain data from the magnectic strip, eg dfsdfsXXXXdtgedwwsmmimshur 123456 dnsd, how do I select the 123456 or whatever the number is in that location, or can some one point me to the thread that covers it.
