I created a Find Duplicate Qry. The results look like this:
ID# Group Birth Grade
11111 300 12/11 4
11111 300 12/11 5
22222 400 10/10 1
22222 400 10/10 2
33333 500 09/09 6
33333 500 09/09 7
The qry looked for duplicates in the first three columns (ID#, Group, and Birth), so the results contain only records where these three columns match. The fourth column, Grade, contains data that does not match. What I want to do next is either create a new query or refine this query so that ONLY THE RECORD WITH THE HIGHEST GRADE IS SELECTED. So, for example, the qry would look at the first two records above and return only the second because Grade 5 is higher than Grade 4. Can someone suggest how to do this?
Thanks so much for ideas . . .
