Hello All,

Got stuck with a query ...Please help

I have some fields in my table as

I want to genearate a query on a table which lists similar records for different date.
The fields are like
The records in the table are like

Code,Name, fund, status, effective date
001,XYZ,BINN,MM, 18/02/05
001,XYZ,BINN,MM ,28/02/05
001,XYZ,BINN,PP ,28/02/05


003,ABC,PARL,MM 01/09/04
003,ABC,PARL,PP 01/09/04
003,ABC,PARL,MM 18/10/04
003,ABC,PARL,PP,01/02/05

004,ppp,PAPP,PQ,01/09/04
004,ppp,PAPP,MM,01/09/04
004,ppp,PAPP,PP,18/10/04

003,ZZZ,YARL,01/02/05

There is no primary key in this ptable.

Now I have to have a report which generates the records for all the status and with recent eff date group by date

ie I want the query/report to display

001,XYZ,BINN,MM ,28/02/05
001,XYZ,BINN,PP ,28/02/05

003,ABC,PARL,MM 18/10/04
003,ABC,PARL,PP,01/02/05

004,ppp,PAPP,PQ,01/09/04
004,ppp,PAPP,MM,01/09/04
004,ppp,PAPP,PP,18/10/04

Any Solutions.. Please..!!!

Don't use "Name" as a field name as its a reserved word and will cause you problems.

Also, where does "003,ZZZ,YARL,01/02/05" fit into your answer? I can't see your logic at present. Your dates don't appear to be sorted in descending order.
