Hi,

I have got access to generate a report in excel. However the excel report generated needs some minor reformatting. Is it possible to send a command from Access to the newly created .xls document to reformat the document?

I have the commands needed to reformat the excel document I am just looking for the command to send them.

Yes and no.

You cannot send commands to Excel in the sense of keystrokes and such. (Well, you can, but it is ugly.)

What you CAN do is open an Excel Application, open the workbook, select the spreadsheet, and perform activeX commands (including formatting).

Before I belabor the point, is this even something you wanted to try? It involves VBA code. If you aren't happy in VBA, where I would send you is not the place to be.
