Hi,

Someone told me that it would be wise to seperate my front end of my database (forms, etc) from the backend. before i get too far and it becomes hard to split

just wondering how I can achieve this??

Thanks

Ryan

Are you serious!!

You have posted on this forum before. I can't believe that you are asking about a FE-BE split without looking at the hundreds -- maybe thousands --of prior posts on this topic. One last comment -- spelling counts! SEPARATE. There are many, many very helpful people on this forum who give their time to others. Don't waste their time!

No need to be rude mate,

I searched and didn't find anything...

Instead of being so rude why not post a link to one of the topics seeing as you know more than I do....

As rpadams suggested, if you search this forum, there are plenty of threads covering this topic. However, if you would like to automate the process rather than splitting your database manually, you can use the built-in tool in Ms Access - the Database Splitter. You will find this tool from Tools -> Database Utilities -> Database Splitter ... then simply follow the wizard.

hehe pat, he did ask how.

"just wondering how I can achieve this??"

Thanks for your help Pat, good to see there are still some helpful ppl on this forum...

I didn't know it was such a crime to not know the keywords to use for a search...
