I'm using access 2010 and have Tabbed Documents enabled as well as Display Document tabs.

When i open a form in design mode, it appears that I have the option of setting the form size parameters by dragging the page boarder horizontally or vertically to grow or shrink the size of the form. When I change view back into form view however, these changes don't appear to be having any effect on the form itself.

My question has two parts:

What am I actually affecting when I adjust the page size in design mode?

Is it possible to set a definitive end to a form in form view without reverting back to the Overlapping Windows setting?

Thanks

I'm confused, While in design mode there is a clear end to the form space. What is the purpose of showing that to you and allowing you to adjust it if there it doesn't allow you to change the page size in form view?

You cannot create endless forms. If you put some controls on it you have to know where the border is. Access assumes a user who has Tabbed Documents enabled don't want to change the page size in form view (otherwise he would not have selected this mode). In this case you should work with a non maximized Access window.

If you use Tabbed Documents you bound your application to a certain screen resolution what only makes sense if every user works with the same.
