Setting run dates for reports

I want to set up a report menu that allows users to choose only those records relevant to the current week, or the following week. So, for example, if the user chooses to run a report on a tuesday to show records for the week commencing the following Monday, the report will ignore all data for the current week or beyond the end of the coming week. The menu is easy but I'm stuck with setting the query parameters for working out the weekly periods chosen. How would I go about doing this.
