Setting up DAO (1 Viewer)

I need to be able to use DAO capabilities in the Database I'm currently working on. I've searched this forum and learned that I need to go to Tools->References in VBA in order to be able to use this. However, "References" is greyed out for me. How do I fix this?

Are you in Debug Mode when you are trying to change the references?


It is best to not have the application running to make this change.

Well, somehow, the Reference menu option became available. I'm not really sure what changed or what I did to enable it. I don't think I was running the program or in debug mode - I thought I had closed down access and gone back in to see if that would allow me to do it, but before, even that didn't work.

The References menu item is only available when you have a code module open. Why? Who knows! Maybe the Shadow knows.
