Hi,
Would anyone have any software that could sharpen a video please?
For some reason this video turned out somewhat blurry. :(

I do like the content, taken by myself, and would love to try and see if I could make it a little sharper.

Or can you recommend any free software, as this is a one time affair.

Video is an mp4 and just over 2MB in size.

Thank you.

I have now asked elsewhere as well.

Paul,
I have no direct experience with the issue.
However, I got 5 responses from copilot when asking the following :
Suggest free software to sharpen an mp4 Video just over 2MB in size.
This was general comment followed by software options.

A few genuinely free tools can sharpen a small MP4 (≈2 MB) without watermarks or paid upgrades. The best options depend on whether you prefer online (fast, no install) or offline (more control, no upload). All options below support MP4 and allow sharpening.

I suggest you ask your favourite AI tool and see what happens.

NCH Videopad->Video Effect->Sharpen.
you can adjust, using the slider the amount of sharpness while the video is playing.

Hi Jack,
I did try Kapwing, but the Blur is already set to zero, and could not see how to sharpen. The Aimmee software appears to be desktop not online as CoPilot indicates.

I found I actually have that on this old laptop. It does have a sharpen function, but appears to get stuck on Processing Sound Clips (I have none, except what is with the original video) when I try to export.

Well, a little premature optimism. :(
Unifab is using no CPU or disk.
Been like this for an hour or so now.

You MUCH have to distinguish between the concept of sharpness vs softness, and that of something out of focus.
Lots of software can say add softness to a video, thus making a video look more like film. And the reverse of making a softness picture look more sharp by increasing contrast between things can be done.

However, something that's blurry or out of focus? That means original information is lost, and a sharpness vs softness process will not help. Some AI based software can help, but it has to guess and make up the missing information. This can make faces and textures look funny or off.

So, as long as you're not trying to correct blurry or out of focus, then typical software with sharpness vs softness can help.
