I am having difficulty creating a shortcut that only opens the access form. I have successfully created one that opens the form, but the database loads behind it. I do not want users to see all this, because it might confuse them, plus they don't need access to this much information. Is there also a way to which to lock down the shortcut so that they can't modify it. I noticed if you right-click on it that there are lots of options to open it.

Look at the Tools->Startup menu to see the options you want.

Okay some good and some really bad. It worked, but I want it to do this to the shortcut I create. It now opens up like this for the actual database and I don't know how to get to the database now. HELP!?!?!?!

Try pressing the F11 key. That should open the Database Window for you.

How do I undo the startup thing I did? I don't have the toolbar option any more.

I have no idea what you did since you haven't actually told me. Telepathy not workinfg well today:). Try opening your DB while holding down the shift key and see if that gives you your toolbar back.

If I wasn't married I would find you and kiss you!!! It worked. Now I will undo what I did and redo it.........lol!!!!!

Any way to get rid of the backround window? And I also get this error when I open it as a shortcut from the desktop:

The command or action 'OpenForm' isn't available now.
*You may be in a read-only database or an uncoverted database from an earlier version....
*The type of object of the action applies to isn't currently selected or isn't in the active view.

Use only those commands and macro actions that are currently available for this database.

Picture included if needed.
