For some reason I can never size a form to display the way I wish it to in the user mode. During design, I size it down, sometimes I have to overlap parts of the form with the scrollbars to get it to appear the way I want it to, and then a few form loads down the line, the form seems to grow :P Is there a way to programaticaly set forms' height and width, or maybe a property that I must have missed?

Also, I have a few forms where the background image is displayed, but there is gray area around the image, typically in the bottom and right parts of the field. It seems to be about the same size as the design mode's scrollbars.

Any guidance towards making forms play nice would be appreciated! Thank you.

in the form properties.. Other tab.. make pop up yes.. then the form will open at the size you set it in design view..

i think..

Cant believe I didnt find that... Thank you!

Also try
Control size and position of forms
DoCmd.MoveSize 2000, 2000, 2000, 2000

where 2000 is distance from right, 2000 is distance from Top 2000 is width of form and 2000 is height of form.
You aren't going to always want forms to be popup.

There's also a property in DoCmd that resizes the form "to fit"; it's something like Docmd.ResizeToFit or something like that. I've forgotten.

Thanks again, I think this better fits my needs.
