Simple (?) question about currency field types

Okay, I've run out of places to go and people to ask... But I feel like this is such a simple question... Anyway, I've created a database which has two currency fields. The trouble is, whenever a new record is entered, the data automatically defaults to $0.00, which can seriously falsify my information. I have no idea how to make the field turn up blank with no value on it at all instead of having it show a zero balance due.

Please help me! I'm nearly ready to jump out the window.

Did you check the Default Value property?

There's two of them; one in the table, one in the form. Make sure neither one has a 0 in it for the Default Value (it's under Data for the Form).

And back away from that window.

Thank you sooo much! I was trying to fix it in form view, not realizing that fixing it there did not have an influence on the table design...
