How are you finding playing about with a new website?

Hi lightwave. I presume you mean the Google website where I am host that MS Access information?

That website is created in a Google Sites, which are fantastic... I use them all the time. I also find them useful for sharing information with customers. I also have several private Google websites, one in which I store all my own MS Access hints and tips. Another one which I basically use as a desktop.

I also use one for recording all the information about the new Nifty Access website http://www.niftyaccess.com/ I am building.

A website is very useful as a desktop because it works both on my PC, my phone and my laptop (Pixel Chrome 1st Gen)

Google websites are Fantastic for storing information for yourself, for sharing information with a limited number of people that know where it is; but they are difficult to use for business purposes I reckon.

Therefore I am also setting up a website on WordPress using Thrive Themes, which I understand, and I am discovering, is pretty good at creating leadpages and things. Something new to learn though. It's taking a while to learn it. My new sales website http://www.niftyaccess.com/ needs a lot of work. You're welcome to have a look at what I've got so far which is very little at the moment --- it's here:- http://www.niftyaccess.com/

Really excellent - I have experimented with Wordpress and I find it workable. I do find I have to be very organised as what with all the different admin pages and the high level of abstraction you can't quite figure things out as easily on the desktop. I have a lot of notes on web configuration now
I am using wordpress like yourself as a pretty billboard.

I am experimenting with hosted php generators as well which is the absolute closest thing I've found to web based databases I'm sure someone with your skills would really fly with some of those tools.

Have you tried any of them?

Most except Nubuilder Pro cost money but I think the price is reasonable. Takes time to get into them though.

I liked you wordpress site by the way. The video page looks totally polished.

I reckon once we've got a handle on this web malarky some of the more talented Access dudes could really fly. Universal access with single point of administration is should be incredible for scaling out applications to users.

One thing if you are doing videos anyway you might want to consider actually doing a Udemy MS Access course - I mean teaching it not studying!!. Looks to me like its a lot of work but the Udemy courses seem to have quite few takers and you are obviously doing videos anyway.

Others have mentioned Udemy... I looked in to it, it's a lot of work!
