Hi,

I have a database originally was created for 1 person to use. Now, this database has to be shared by various people in the company over a network. Some are only allowed to view reports while others are allowed to make changes to it. How can I convert this database to a multi-users one, and maintaining its data integrity? I can possibly restrict 1 person to use the database at any one time. I know it's not going to be easy, but with the help of you guys I am sure it can be done.

Microsoft has a built in security wizard under your tools menu.. you can choose which user has the right to open any form or query from there. I hope this atleast gives you somthing to try.

Search the forum for "Split Database","Multi User","Front End Back End".... These searches will definitely get you started and shoudl be enough to get it working for you as this topic has been discussed millions of times in the past... Also - search in MS Access help for "Split Access Database" and this will provide the information you seek.

HTH,
Kev
