I have a relatively small (1.5 MB) database. It contains an unbound form, which includes 4 combo boxes and 1 list box, all of them bound to tables or queries which return very few records. Whenever I save this form, or switch between Design and Form views, I get the hourglass for 10 to 30 seconds, which is making design and testing unacceptably slow.
The problem persists despite the following attempts to correct it: moving the database from the network to my C: drive, creating a new database and importing all the objects from the old one into the new one, de-compiling and re-compiling, repairing, compacting.
Any ideas about the likely cause or cure? Thanks.
