Sort order of subreport is ignored

Hi,

I have a report within which is another sub-report.

The sub-report when viewed alone is sorted perfectly, however when I view this within the parent report the sorting order seems to be completely ignored!

Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution? Maybe there is another field I need to do soemthing with when dealing with sub-reports?

It is annoying as it means in one place on the system things are in one order, but another order in another part. Not very user friendly

Bring up the Poperties box of the sub-report by double-clicking it, click the Data tab and make sure the 'Order By On' value is set to yes and that 'Order by' has a value.

If that's OK then, look at the 'Grouping and Sorting' properties box (right click over the sub-report to select it). The 'Grouping and Sorting' value over-ride 'Order By'

Order by is on, Ordey by has the right field selected and there are no grouping or sorting options selected so that's not the problem either

Use the Grouping Sorting options on the Menu
