Hello All,

I am currently working on a database that will record and plot an SPC chart, in access 2010.

So far I have been able to calculate the X-Bar, Sigma, Min, Max, CP, CPK and Kurtosis in my queries. i am now compiling the final report, which would be used to present the capability of a suppliers process.

I am struggling to get to terms with plotting a Normal distribution chart and Bell curve.

Has anyone been able to do this in access at all, i know it can be done in excel, but I am trying to centralise all data handling to a central database source, for easy navigation through historical data.

Thanks in advance.

Tom

A suggestion: think about how much time/effort you want to invest and for what benefit - fiddling with formatting and shaping graphs ion access can take a long time.

Consider a hybrid application, where each part is used for what it is best at. A customer of mine has an analysis process that reads and treats data in Access, in Excel he then imports some linked data from that Access db to fabricate some 12 tables and diagrams, and that lot in turn gets imported via links into Word.
