OK ... as I'm sure most of you have read ... learning as I go and as you teach me! Thanks for all the help thus far ... got a new problem!

I'm trying to sort my query by project and having just the total project data get calculated & shown. I set project as a primary key, placed them into a query and have the following:

Project | Total Footage | Total Mileage | *Total Project Ft & Miles

*=SUM([total_as]+[total_prop]/) (/5280 for mileage)

The whole thing is viewed by a from that will show a pull down for Project and show calculated totals (from query) in Total Project Footage and Total Project Miles

California | *75,468 (ft) | *14.30 (mi)
New York | *26,454 (ft) | * 5.01 (mi)

I'm calculating alot of other data but I only want this information visable to the client.

WOW

I see a lot of people are as confused as I am ... Like 15 views and no posts  Oh well - Listen if it's any matter - I would gladly email my useless piece of crap to someone to analize?

PM me and it's yours ... my boss is going to fire me and hire someone else ... anyone need a job ;) :D (laughing)

I think there's a lot of confusion as to what your question. I believe you're asking how you can hide from view the columns that are used in calculating the totals, is that correct?

To do that, in design view uncheck the box that is directly above the criteria for that column.

Sorry about the confusion ...

I get a little excited and just start ranting about what I'm trying to achieve ...

I have several PROJECTS and each one has different TOTAL_FOOTAGES. I'm trying to seperate them (somehow?) and show the data in a form

(Here's an example of the form)

Project [project_name]
Start Date [start_date]

Total Footage [total_proj_ftg]
Total Mileage [total_proj_ftg]/5280

I want to be able to do a pull-down of Project to select "GEORGIA" and have just the GEORGIA data displayed and then give the client the choice to open a data entry form or just display a report showing every map in the project.

Thanks,

Man was I way off!

Well this is pretty simple.

First in your recordsource of the form use either a query or select statement and the criteria should reference the value in the combobox. Then create a procedure in the after update event of the combobox to requery the form.
