i thank all for helping with the issue of mulitple users. after i did the splitthe database using the wizard. i noticed the tables lookes diiferent. but how do i put the front ends for users in their document since am on a thin client enviromemt. or
how do i transfer the front from the end. do i have to write codes??
thanks

why/how do the tables look different?

Dave

thanks D for your response.
i have never done it before.
i did not have to split the two database i did before.
when you click tables, they have arrows before you open them. that what is different.
thanks

The arrows are to show that the tables are linked. Although you can see them in the front end, they are stored in the back end.

Splitting database

i thank you all for helping out with the above mentioned subject. i did split the database well. i have the back end and the front end. i am in a thin network enviroment, the network that doesnt have hard drives.
my first question is , where do i put the front end part?
second question, when i open the front end it opens the forms ,queries instead of the switchboard. do i do the same procedure to have the switchboard open when we click front end apllication .
i thank all you for your response in advance.

I would put the front end on each user's virtual drive.

Ope the front end and go Tools/Startup and set the switchboard form to open on startup.
