I have a very old db (actually is 97) that is used primarily for data entry. The data is stored in Oracle however.
There are many, many de forms needed and I have taken great care to make each manageable and string them all together for the user so they flow.
There are lots of long char fields (some memo fields too). It seems we are sporadically losing entire sections of data -not being saved in Oracle. NO error msgs in Access so the user is unaware of the problem.
At one point I thought I'd about a ceiling (per loaded form perhaps?), but can't find it now. I have chunked the forms out as best I can but still am losing sections about 25% of the time.
It is not always the same section - it is not always the same user.
Any ideas, other than keep chopping away?
many thanks
