Hi, i am looking at making use of SQL Server which we have at work to run our access Database from, is this a good idea ?

what are the benifits, problems etc...

Andy

if you have several users accessing your database, having the SQL Server as your back-end on the server and use Access as your front-end would be a wiser idea than using Access both as front and back-end.

we have about 60 users at the mo...

should i just set up the table in Sql server then link to them...and right all the queries etc.. in Access ?

is Sql server any quicker ?

well since you're saying that you have 60 users ( which amount may increase too ), Access is definitely not the way to go. However, as you said you may use Access as your front end and link to the SQL Server Tables.
