stacked Fields in Report as opposed to sequential

Trying to set up a report but having a few probs with design

set up form like such atm ;

Materials

but im trying to get it to do like so ;

i can get it working with use of a sub report inside but its messy to organize

Use Grouping and Sort order to get what you want.

can sort to make em stack up and appear side by side

What you need is two subreports - one to list all the materials related to that group and the other (placed below the materials subreport) for displaying all related JDs.

yeah thats how i was doing it just wondered if was way to do from one report for layouts sake

It's one record per line and in order to achieve multiple lines you need a control like a subreport that can do that. So unfortunately, there's no other "easy" way.
