had a business view and created the report... if the business view removed temporarily for some reason after the report is created...

1) is it possible to just to work on the static (look and feel) part of the report without a business view?
2) any ways in the report to refer back to the business view, once it is created again... or should I create teh report again.. using the new business view.

If you saved the data with the report, you should be able to modify it as long as you don't refresh the report or try to insert fields into it you don't currently have. Same for formulas because it would need to give you a result based on non-existing fields.
