Hello,

I have been developing a database for a little while now which allows me to make work orders for certain items. I have a table that I can fill in on a form to make the work order. I will select a part number for an item and by using a query I pull in the price for this particular item by finding it on a seperate table and display it on a report.

My question is, if I need to adjust the price for this item, this will change the prices for all my previous orders. Is there a solution for this. How should I be building my tables for this. Is the only solution to have different tables for different price lists or should I have a button that will take the current price and bring it into the form that I use to make up the order so when I change the price in the price form, it won't change on my work order form unless I push the button.

Thank you both for your responses. You confirmed what I thought I had to do.
