Strange - Linked tables invisible - USB

Today I noticed something strange.

I had the back end on USB Flash Drive on drive E:\DB_BE.mdb

when i opened the linked table manager in the front end the list of linked tables was empty.

so i'm stuck . How can I change the location of back end, as the list of tables is empty.

Go to File| Get External Data | Link tables

then you can navigate to the backend?

actually the tables are linked to the backend but are not visible in the list of "linked tables manager". So i cant refresh or change the BE path

Do you have Access 97 and Access 2003 on the same PC?

no, But I have Access 2000 and Access 2003 on the same machine

I asked because I had the same problem when using Access 97 and Access 2003 on the same compuer. This fixed my problem...
