Hi all.
I have set my database up and have a nice switchboard setup for myself. Now what I want to do is give other users access to this but with a different switchboard. I have set up a front end back end with 2 fe's now I thought ill change the sboard in one fe and that will be hunky dory, but I did that and both the sboards changed. Any help to get me past this would be greatly appreciated or my pc is going to get it lol :)

Thanks in advance
Mike.

I think what most people do after using Access for a while is forget about switchboards :) Create a form to use as your switchboard - You can make it do anything the switchboard does and more.......

tbh I would like to stick with switchboards atm until im more competent, is there a way of having a different sboard for each fe ?

Many thanks.

I don't use switchboards either but they are based on tables. If you have moved all your tables into the BE, then you've moved the basis of the switchboard. Thus every front end will see the same. Move the switchboard tables to the FE and they can be different.

Ok it seems making my own from switchboards is the way to go, can you possibly point me in the riht direction to do this. Sorry if im asking silly stuff here, im just a bit stuck.

Thanks :)

You've got a wizard that works pretty well for this.... Just create a blank form, from "Forms" pick "New" then "Design view" leave the dropdown to "Choose table or query where objects data comes from" blank. Then from your toolbox add a command button.... again the wizard will walk you thru the steps. Pretty easy.
