I am trying to add a sub-form to an existing form and I have a pop up that says...

"The code contains a syntax error, or a Microsoft Access function you need is not available."
Has anyone seen this before and any ideas how to fix it?

First, I think, you need to expand on "I am trying to add a sub-form to an existing form."

Are you in Form Design View, for the Main Form, and dragging a Subform Control onto that Form, or are you (as the error message seems to suggest) trying to do this with code, or what?

I'm in design mode then select a sub-form control from the box options. I drag open a field box and a pop up opens with the heading... syntax error. Its like some kind of add on isn't installed. The message is long and it is basically saying I should uninstall Access and delete certain reg references and then reinstall.
I have a screen shot but can't seem to upload in this message or paste it into it either.
