Sub report problem in report that spans multiple dates

I have created a report that documents a visit to the Dr Office.
the Meds that are prescribed are in a different table and linked into the progress note via a subform linked at the Client ID.
This works well.
However now they would like to be able to print all notes since a secified date.
This was accomplished with a query but the Medication Subreport only works on the first note and will not link and show on subsequent notes

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I checked the Child and master Links and those appear to be correct.
the report itself pulls fine
If I pull up a progress note for an individual the Meds comes in correctly in the Sub form/sub report.
It is when I run a query attached to the report asking for all notes on all clients since a particular date that the problem occurs.

the first note (first client)in the series pulls fine with the meds.
subsequent notes do not pull the meds. I believe that this is because it is a different client and the Link has been made with the first client in the series.
How do I make the report requery the subreport for the different client.

as I explored further I realized that it was actually a subform that I had embeaded into the report and it would only pull the data for the first client record in the subform. All the other client records pulled fine in the report but without the subform of their meds.
I changed the subform over to a sub report and imbeaded that inot the main report and problem solved.
Anyone know whay that would be?
anyway it is working fine now.
