sub report taking up too much space (1 Viewer)

Hi, all,
My sub report looks fine when it is in the same page, but when it runs to the next page, it take up the whole page or two even if it has only one record. i already set the cangrow and canshrink property to yes, but they don't work.
Any idea to fix it?

I would check the sub with out the main if its working fine.

The sub works fine by it's own. The sub report has detail section. It seems that the detail section is controlled by the main report deatail section. If the main report detail section contain a long list of records, then the sub's detail section running the same length even if there is only one record.

Is there anything I can do?
