guys i have a report -Accounts(fine no problems)
however- small problem

i am in insurance - and the report seperate outs a policy into 5-6 sections
now I need a sub report on each section (still not a problem -messy but !! )
now i also need to separate out by currency - Sterling , Euro , dollar etc (still not a problem )
now as you can see so far i have a report that divides into currecny then 5 sub reports on the assumtion that i only have 3 currencies i am up to 15-18 sub reports
now markets come into play there are 3 type of market - and each has its own layout on how they want it presented (don't you just love accountants)
lets call them A, B and C (C = cash payment or cheque) and their could be a combination
ie Section 1 could need 55% A- 45% B and 10% C
section 2 could be A 0% , B55% and C45%
or any possible combination thereof...

now i could be getting close to 45 reports - is there a limit to the amount of subreports Access will let me use ?

now i have simpliefied this - but can a report run , do a if x = 0.00 then don't print this (subreport) cos if it can then my report run i can trim down

long winded i know but its to let you know the basics - also i could also be doing other currencies (India, South Africa) that takes it to 5 currencies (25 sub reports times 3 = 75 total sub reports) and thats a real night mare
( these will be monthly reports 75 * 12 =800+ (plus my other reports - but they are simple)

Don't know how many you can have, I have done 10 or so, but there are many ways of assembling data like this in (I think) an easier way before trying to organize a report. I would be looking at a series of queries which appended their results to a new "reports" table, then I would pull the required report from there. Provided you organized the appended records appropriately, e.g. dated, then compiling a report should be straight forward.

Hmmm,
the query and report wizard do what i want them to - I was trying to get away from multi qry/reports- but I ry my long winded way first - and if i get bogged down , i try your route (which makes sense by the way)
